The Origin of World Religion Day

The following has been gleaned from "BAHÁ'Í NEWS", Published in December 1949 by the National Spiritual Assembly, the governing Body of the Baha'i Faith in the United States of America.

"The National Spiritual Assembly (of the Baha'is of the United States of America) has instituted an annual World Religion Day to be observed publicly by the Baha'i Communities wherever possible throughout the United States.

The Third Sunday of January each year has been designated for this celebration. In 1950 the date will be January 15.
