Dunnville observes World Religion Day on the third Sunday of each January. January 18 marked the 18th annual celebration. Observers of different religions united to speak on the UN proclamation of Reconciliation within the context of each faith.

A number of Baha'i communities across Canada participated in events celebrating World Religion Day this past Sunday, January 20th. A wide variety of events were held for the purpose of stimulating interfaith understanding and religious harmony, including a well-attended gathering at a United Church on Canada’s east coast and a conference on a university campus on the west coast.

BRAZZAVILLE, Congo Republic — The Congo Republic became the second country to issue a postage stamp for World Religion Day, an annual event commemorated in dozens of cities and towns around the globe. The stamp was presented here on 20 January 2007 at a World Religion Day program that drew more than 250 participants from eight religious communities. Agents were on hand to sell both the stamps and first-day covers.
